First, let’s look at the outermost “armor”: Our boxes aren’t the standard off-the-shelf models found on the market, but rather five-layer corrugated cardboard boxes custom-made to fit the exact dimensions of each artwork. While standard shipping boxes have a corrugation spacing of 3 centimeters, we’ve narrowed ours to 1.5 centimeters, increasing the load-bearing capacity per square centimeter by 40%. Even more critical is the corner design: we’ve added a 5-millimeter-thick reinforcement panel to the traditional right angles, effectively fitting the box with “elbow pads.” This ensures the corners can withstand pressure even when squeezed by other packages on the transport vehicle. To verify the reliability of this packaging, we conducted three extreme tests: We dropped the packaged hanging artwork 10 times from a height of 1.5 meters; upon unpacking, the artwork showed no creases and the frame remained undamaged. We submerged it in a simulated torrential rain environment for 30 minutes, and the inside of the moisture-proof film remained dry; after simulating 24 hours of continuous jolting on a transport vehicle, the cushioning foam retained over 90% of its elasticity.
